Processing Information

This material was received by the University of Maryland in 1972, though the exact date is unknown. Because the record keeping for this accession was minimal, materials associated with this accession were determined based on elimination of other materials, and according to control files and old inventories. Original order of these folders was maintained, though materials found loose in the map case folder were added to existing folders. At the time of preliminary inventory creation, the audio tape recordings associated with this accession were discovered in boxes as part of the Oral History Tape Collection. The audio tape recordings were not removed from this collection, but inventoried and recorded to be part of this accession. These tapes were determined to belong to this accession based on administrative control files. Original order of materials was maintained. In May 2023, seven boxes of previously missing audio reels indicated as phonograph records in the accession control file were located in a mixed aural tape collection. Materials related to the Bakery Workers were inventoried and the accession record updated to reflect their inclusion in collection materials.
