Newspapers: Deutsch-Amerikanische Baecker Zeitung, The Bakers' Journal and Deutsch-Amerikanische Bӓcker Zeitung, The Bakers' Journal, The Bakers' and Confectioners' Journal, ABC News, B and C News, and BC and T News, Accession 1990-557-LBR, 1887-1987

This material was received by the University of Maryland on May 25, 1990. Boxes 1-7 were originally housed in two oversized flat boxes. In 2019, the materials were reorganized into seven oversized flat boxes by the Libraries' Preservation department - one box for each volume of the newspaper. Materials were stabilized in Mylar sheets and acid-free tissue paper and the boxes were relabeled by archives staff. Materials in Boxes 8-16 and 18-19 contained mixed publication titles and non-chronological dates. The material was reorganized into chronological order, as close as could be done, and the boxes were relabeled to reflect the current housing allocations. Box 17 is a record storage box containing no oversized materials, and the material inside was not reordered or rehoused. The two scrapbooks are housed together in oversized Box 20. Volume 1907-1908 from Box 8 was sent to Preservation for mold treatment, and returned to the collection in April 2022; this volume is now housed individually in Box 21.

The box numbering scheme is sequential by box, continuing numerically regardless of title or era of newspaper.
