African American Labor Center and African Labor History Center, 1960-1984
This series consists of office and project records of the African American Labor Center (AALC) and the African Labor History Center accumulated by Trachtman between 1960 and 1984. Many of these records correspond to the work Trachtman was directly involved with while employed by AALC. The series includes reports of activities for the Board of Directors, staff meetings and conferences, development reports, administrative files, labor presentations materials, outreach records for labor issues, selected issues of the AALC Newsletter, and a parchment agreement establishing the Ethiopian Labor Center.

Processing Information
Series contains a rolled parchment agreement that needs preservation treatment to flatten, and rehouse the item.
Preservation completed treatment for oversized mounted textile from August 2021 to November 2022 and returned to Special Collections on 11/3/2022. Treatment included removing fabric from a wood frame, cleaning, and storing rolled in a tube. Item was sent to a vendor for some parts of the treatment.
