Abstract
Thomas F. Walsh (1925-1991) was an American literature professor at Georgetown University beginning in 1956. In his early career, he concentrated his research on Nathaniel Hawthorne and the American Transcendentalists; he later focused on Wallace Stevens and Flannery O'Connor. He met Katherine Anne Porter in 1960 and subsequently published several scholarly works on her writing.
