The National Trust for Historic Preservation is a privately funded nonprofit organization founded in 1949 to support the preservation of the United States' historic buildings, neighborhoods, and communities. This collection consists of six boxes of textual records, publications, and audiovisual materials, primarily spanning the organization's publications from the 1970s to the early 2000s. The materials discuss issues around the history and preservation of historic buildings across the United states through publications, such as the Historic Preservation Forum, the ForumNews publication, and the Preservation Information Series, documents events organized by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and includes internal organizational materials, such as Preservation Leadership Trainings, Speeches, Budgeting documents, and state legislation reference materials. The collection also includes a 1972 National Trust Flag.
