Historical Background Information, 1935-1974 and undated

This subseries contains the background research used by INSPIRE for their study. It contains a variety of materials spanning the years 1950 to 1970 pertaining to the Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Communications Commission, and the Securities Exchange Commission as well as background materials on the administrations of Harry S. Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson and Richard M. Nixon. Types of documents include correspondence, memos, notes, reports, and newspaper and magazine articles.
