This collection includes: a one page history of the Inga Rose named after Rundvold; a copy of a poem from Old St. Paul's Church in Baltimore; Rundvold's astrological chart (July 3rd, Cancer); an undated "Slam Book" with various people writing tongue-in-cheek comments about other people they know; a typed (with handwritten notes) guest list for a February 15th "Airborne Fashion Show" (undated); and a July 1974 press release from the Norwegian National Tourist Office celebrating "Norwegian Immigration to USA 150th Anniversary."
Also includes an interesting, three-page, handwritten "contract" between Rundvold and the Sheraton-Carlton Hotel regarding her Friday fashion shows at the Sheraton and an 8" x 10" black-and-white photo of a WTTG/Dumont network test pattern.
Other materials include: correspondence, press releases, minutes of meetings, invitations, clippings, and photos (52 total items) related to the first observance of Leif Erickson Day and, specifically, to various festivities held on October 9, 1965 in Newport News, VA. (Rundvold served as Washington coordinator for this event.) Correspondents include: Congressman Thomas N. Downing (VA), Admiral George Dufek; Howard E. Haugerud; and R.K.T. Larson. Also included are materials related to The Mariners Museum located in Newport News; plus nine clips of newspaper articles and original typed manuscripts, both by Rundvold, promoting the 1978 opening of the DC subway/metro system.
