Biographical Material, 1942-2003 and undated

 Series 1

This series contains various self-produced bios of Harris Tuchman, including: a resume-like document of important dates in her life and career; a list of clients her company has produced for; a company-produced bio-press release; and a more recently authored page on Harris Tuchman's latter day activities including her involvement in church and charitable activities. This series also contains an April 1945 issue of "The Delphian Quarterly" which contains an article by Fran Harris titled "Television is a Reality!"; a three-ring binder of scripts and show notes from Harris Tuchman's days as a WATT in Chicago (in oversize storage, box #9); as well as a small bit of correspondence and materials (printed program, newsletters, etc.) regarding Harris Tuchman's 2003 induction into Chicago's "Silver Circle," that city's hall of fame for broadcasting. Items are ordered in files by date.

This series also contains one bound scrapbook, c. 1998, 102 pages, measuring 12" x 20" which was compiled, photocopied and sequenced by Harris Tuchman. It traces Harris Tuchman's career from her days as a WATTS up to her move to California. According to Harris Tuchman, the scrapbook contains: "99 press clippings; 71 news photos; 38 glossies; 29 letters; 9 station program cards; 4 promos; 2 lists of clients; 2 financial reports; 1 annual report; 1 stock certificate, 1 paycheck stub; 1 rate card; 1 newsletter, and 1 survey." Many of these items do not exist in other parts of this Collection. (Scrapbook is in oversize storage.)

There is also, in box #9, a three-ring binder, c. 1943, in which has been collected various scripts and on-air copy used by the WATTS during their tenure at the station.
