Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, 1950

In January of 1950, Harris Tuchman was asked to join the LA Chamber of Commerce as part of its Television Committee. This series documents some of her activities during her time on the committee. Items included are: a letter of selection from Chamber President A.J. Gock, dated Jan. 27, 1950; a Television Committee Roster, dated Oct. 23, 1950; a report from the Subcommittee on Public Service Aspects of Sports Telecasting [submitted] to the Television Committee, dated June 5, 1950; a copy of the Committee's newsletter, the "TeleVision Business," dated Aug. 7, 1950; and four pages of statistics on the number of TVs sold between June 1949 and June 1950 in LA, San Diego, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, and Philadelphia; and a table on all US states and their largest "TV cities" and the number of TV sets in each of their "city's TV area"; it is dated Aug. 28, 1950.
