Oral History Project, 1976-1984
In the mid-1970s, AWRT, in association with the NAB's Broadcast Pioneers Library (now the Library of American Broadcasting), began an oral histories initiative to record and archive one-on-one interviews with women radio and television pioneers. The initiative was done at both local and national levels, and involved interviewing women who had made a difference in their industry. (NOTE: The Library of American Broadcasting houses the original recordings of many of the AWRT's oral histories as well as transcripts of same. These can be searched at the Library's website at www.lib.umd.edu/LAB.) This subseries is arranged by type of item (letter, article, etc.) and then by date.
