Personal, Financial and Legal, circa 1868-1964
This series is comprised of personal materials and financial and legal documents. The series is arranged into two groupings: "Personal," followed by "Financial and Legal." Within these groupings, the materials are arranged alphabetically by document type or subject. Further arrangement within file headings (such as the diaries) is chronological.
The bulk of the series consists of Reyher's diaries dating from 1921 to 1963. Other personal items include drawings by Reyher, programs, press passes, and ration stamps. Contracts, or agreements, for Reyher and collaborators' scripts and manuscripts are filed in the "Financial and Legal" grouping. Also included are insurance policies, tax forms, financial and legal documentation of Reyher's 1934 divorce from Rebecca Hourwich Reyher, the wills of Ferdinand Reyher and Caroline Reyher, and an account of the personal possessions of Max Reyher.
