Vox Pop Program Materials, 1932-1948

 Series 1

Series I contains materials relating to the Vox Pop program. Included are: correspondence, interview questions, scripts, newspaper clippings, magazine articles pertaining to publicity about Vox Pop, promotional materials, Parks Johnson's notebooks, tickets to Vox Pop broadcasts and other programs, photographs, and artifacts. Subseries 8 (Ephemera) contains awards, certificates, and honorary memberships given to either Parks Johnson, his partners, or to the program itself. Subseries 10 (Artifacts) includes such unique items as: Vox Pop pipes, examples of funny hats sent in by listeners, name tags worn by Parks Johnson, a bullet in a red felt case, a larkspur wreath, and a sample of synthetic rubber.
