Research Files, 1921 - 2007, undated
The series contains the research files used by Stamberg from 1971 to 2007. Topics include people, places, and events. Materials in the research files include correspondence, notes, clippings, photographs, and scripts. There are sizeable files on Harold Arlen, Bing Crosby, Joan Didion, Isak Dinesen, the F.D.R. Memorial, Ira Gershwin, film, Beryl Markham, the National Symphony Orchestra tour in Russia, Tillie Olsen, the PEN Conference, Eleanor Roosevelt, Russia, Texas, the Theatre, and women. Notable correspondents include Ed Turner (Executive Vice President of CNN), Vladimir Bukovsky, Joan Didion, Tillie Olsen, Gordon Baxter, and Katherine Hepburn. There are photographs of President Carter in the Oval Office and Tillie Olsen.
Materials are arranged alphabetically by the title of the research file and roughly chronologically within the files.
