Public Broadcasting, 1973-1980 and undated
This series contains material pertaining to public broadcasting, with the majority of the material focusing on public television. The material in this series was sent to Robertson by Joseph Hughes, a charter director of the Corporation of Public Broadcasting (CPB). Much of it concerns the Carnegie Commission II 1977 study of public broadcasting. Included are newspaper clippings, articles, reports, and correspondence. One letter, written by C. Scott Fletcher to Hughes, is particularly rich in public broadcasting history. This series also contains documents which concern programming and financing of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and the Public Broadcasting Service. These materials are arranged chronologically.
