Printed Matter, 1926-2006 and undated

This series contains printed material related to H. L. Mencken that was collected by Arthur J. Gutman. The material is arranged into the following subgroups: book catalogs, book publicity, event publicity, Mencken Day, off prints and photocopies, and pamphlets. Advertisements for book readings are filed in the event publicity subgroup, while the book publicity subgroup contains only material that advertises the book as a commodity to be purchased. The material in this series excludes items printed to advertise events arranged by the Mencken Society. The arrangement of material within files is chronological.
