This series documents Davis' activities in the Ford Foundation's Office of Public Broadcasting. The bulk of the series consists mostly of outgoing correspondence and program grant recommendations and reviews. Topics of correspondence include station visit reports, responses to viewer criticism and grant requests. This series also contains grant recommendations and program reviews, particularly as part of the Project for New Television Programming. This project's purpose was to strengthen and encourage innovation in programming at the local and regional level. Notable correspondents include Fred Friendly, McGeorge Bundy, and John Houseman who reviewed programs for the Project for New Television Programming. Materials are arranged alphabetically by category and then either chronologically or alphabetically.
