Correspondence, 1944-2010 and undated

 Series 1

This series consists of letters between Mollee Kruger and her family, friends, and literary associates; however, the bulk of the series consists of letters written to Kruger. Most correspondence is of a literary nature, and covers the range of Kruger's creative output. Several illustrious literary figures are represented within this series, including Cynthia Ozick (1928-) and Joseph Brodsky (1940-1996). Some letters are of a personal nature, particularly those written by Kruger to her family while she was an undergraduate at the University of Maryland; this early family correspondence is filed under the heading, "Coppel Family."

Letters are arranged alphabetically by correspondent and chronologically within each folder. Where postmark dates are legible, existing envelopes have been retained and filed with corresponding letters.
