Minutes, 1864-1900

This series contains the minutes of the Mercer and New Mercer Literary Societies, which include membership listings as well as documentation of each society meeting. The minutes identify the lecturer at each meeting, as well as the topics, such as philosophy, human nature, and ethics, that were addressed. These volumes also chronicle the administration of the society, including election results, committee reports, and other society business. In addition, this series contains the constitution of the New Mercer Literary Society. This series is arranged chronologically.
