Reports, Studies, Proposals, and Surveys, 1928-1971
Series 2 contains reports, studies, proposals, surveys, and questionnaires on various topics relating to the University of Maryland (UM) libraries. Of special interest are the UM libraries' responses to the Middle States Survey which details the organization, expenditures, and collections of the UM libraries in the early 1950s. Also noteworthy is a proposal for the master's program in Library and Information Sciences, as well as a proposal, from the... early 1960s, for recataloging the library collections using Library of Congress call numbers instead of Dewey Decimal numbers.
The items are arranged chronologically.
