Lists and Statistical Compilations, 1910-1989

Series 4 is divided into two parts. The first part consists of lists of periodicals, serials, and books held or acquired by the University of Maryland libraries at various times. Of particular note is an inventory of the equipment (tables, wire baskets, thumb tacks) of the Agricultural Experiment Station Library in 1917 and a list of administrative officers from 1954 that includes photographs of each officer. The second part of Series 4 contains statistics... on serials, accessions, circulation and other activities at UMCP and UMAB, mostly from 1920 through 1950. Also inclued is a 1920 American Library Association guide on the correct way to gather library statistics, as well as a completed data form on the UMCP libraries in 1989 from the Maryland Higher Education Commission. The lists and statistics are roughly arranged by campus of origin.
