Clippings, 1942-1991 and undated

The subjects of the clippings include articles about Porter, by Porter, and related to Porter and about Bayley. Among the clippings are reviews and other pieces on Joan Givner's biography Katherine Anne Porter: A Life. There is an extensive collection of reviews for Bayley's 1990 edition, Letters of Katherine Anne Porter. Clippings of Porter's writings include "A Christmas Story" and "This Strange, Old World," among others. Clippings about Porter include reviews of her writings, as well as literary and biographical commentary about her life and work. There is a file of clippings on Porter's Ship of Fools that includes reviews of the novel as well as clippings about the 1965 film adaptation of it. The files on "Noon Wine" and "Lumiere Productions" contain clippings on several other 1980s adaptations of Porter's writings. There are also clippings documenting Bayley's service as an officer in the Women's Auxiliary Army Corps (WAAC) in the early 1940s. Arrangement is alphabetical by subject.
