Governor of Maryland, 1955-1975 and undated
This series consists of six subseries of correspondence, subject files, public statements, campaign materials, schedules, appointment books, and publications documenting Mr. Agnew's years as governor of Maryland. Included is extensive coverage of issues addressed and Mr. Agnew's views on a wide variety of subjects. This series also contains significant documentation of Agnew's successful campaign to become governor, with briefer mention of his resignation from that office on January 7, 1969 to become vice president of the United States.
