News Summaries, 1969-1974 and undated
This subseries contains summaries of news reports from various media sources which were prepared and routed to the vice president on a daily basis. Included are television and magazine reports, Weekend News Reviews, digests of recent comment and news reports, News Summaries, and wire service copy from the Associated Press and United Press International. Information in the compilations is drawn from wire service reports, morning and evening television news, television news specials, news conferences, and a wide variety of magazines and newspapers. The sumaries were written by Pat Buchanan's office; some include Mr. Buchanan's own comments. They provide extensive coverage of major stories of the day and on-going political commentary.
All formats of the news summaries have been interfiled into one chronological sequence.
