Office Staff and Operation, 1968-1973
This subseries documents the operation of the Office of the Vice President and consists of applications, resumés, memoranda, employment histories, and payroll records of the employees who worked in the office. Several drafts of the Administrative Manual of the Vice President and in-house memoranda on issues that concern the workplace clarify the duties and positions necessary to keep the office running smoothly. Order lists for office supplies provide insight into the automation of an office in the early 1970s. Also included are a few budget files of the Republican National Committee which contain a set of correspondence with future President of the United States, George Bush, who served on the committee.
The bulk of employee material in this subseries is restricted for a period of seventy-five (75) years, until the year 2038, or until the death of the individual due to the private nature of employee records.
Arrangement is alphabetical by subject.
