Women's Issues, 1943-1989
This subseries contains correspondence, memoranda, reports, pamphlets, programs, and financial materials relating to the Maryland Division's concern for various issues relating to women, including the draft during World War II, financial security for women, affirmative action, the Equal Rights Amendment, and forming an "advocacy network" for women. The bulk of the material relates to the work of the AAUW's Committee on the Economic and Legal Status of Women and its program designed to empower women through advocacy networks. Also included are materials documenting the action and research of the Division Committee on the Status of Women, formerly called the Status on the Committee of Women. Arrangement is alphabetical by topic.
