Community, 1949-1990

This subseries is comprised of materials relating to various community-related activities of the AAUW, including records of workshops, conferences, conventions, and symposia. Also documented is the AAUW's Metropolitan Area Mass Media Committee, which presented annual awards to local television stations and newspapers for their coverage of education, culture, world problems, and community problems. The AAUW's State Education Committee, which was active in assessing community guidance service needs and provision, is also documented. Arrangement is alphabetical by topic.
