Clippings, 1897-1923 and undated
The Clippings series includes scrapbooks and loose clippings collected by Amoss. A significant portion of the clippings contained in the scrapbooks features items on the Farmers' Institutes, as well as articles of professional interest to Amoss on agricultural topics.
This series includes clippings related to agricultural discoveries and improvements featured at the St. Louis World's Fair; corn breeding and the "Corn Special," a traveling farm education endeavor; development of farm lands in Maryland; marketing cut flowers; cost-of-living issues for farmers and the business of farming; and diseases of livestock.
Loose clippings have been photocopied onto acid-free paper. Scrapbooks have been interleaved with acid-free paper. Arrangement of loose clippings is by topic. Arrangement of scrapbooks is chronological.
