Correspondence and Biographical, 1960-1986 and undated

This series consists of letters, cards, and photocopies of news articles pertaining to many historical and genealogical topics from 1965, 1967, 1969, 1971-1972, 1980, 1985, and 1987. Genealogical topics include Holland, Dorsey, and Koehl family history. Historic topics include Hockley-in-the-Hole; Savage; Wavertree; 1876 Baltimore; Idehart; mills in Maryland; Masonic cornerstones; the Patapsco Female Institute; the flood of 1866; St. John's School; Ellicott City Cemeteries; and Edgar Allan Poe. One folder contains letters to several politicians urging them to pass historic preservation legislation with their responses. Additional correspondence consists of reference requests to and from Holland, orders for reference materials, speaking engagement invitations, and discussions of personal affairs.
