Administrative Files, 1951-1975

This series includes records of annual meetings, committee records, correspondence, financial records, invitations, tickets, publications, and membership records; the correspondence files pertain to the official duties of the association. There are also records of such association activities as horse-farm tours, stud managers seminars, the selection of All-Time Top Maryland-Breds, and annual dinners and meetings.

Files of particular interest in this... series pertain to special horse-related travel opportunities (Correspondence - European Tour, 1966 and People-To-People Tour, 1967). Also included are personal letters to Snowden Carter, editor of Maryland Horse, from mystery writer and horseman Dick Francis. These letters are to be found in the "Correspondence: Snowden Carter - Personal, 1968-1969" and "Hugo Larsen Tour, 1968-1969" files, in boxes 4 and 5, respectively.
