Races, 1955-1975
This series contains records of Maryland-Bred Races, Breeders' Stakes races, and Maryland Fund races.
When the Maryland Fund program was established in 1962, Maryland tracks began immediately to schedule and run Maryland Fund races. They also continued, however, to run non-Maryland Fund races for Maryland-bred horses; these races are, in the files of the association, referred to as Maryland-Bred races. The files are arranged chronologically; in Subseries 1 and 3, within each year the files are alphabetized according to track name.
