Photographs, circa 1920

 Series 10

This series contains black and white photographs of locomotives, railroad cars, construction and plantation scenes, shipping facilities, and areas in Havana. Some photographs have been isolated and assigned to Box 160; others are scattered throughout the collection, with large groupings appearing in Series 1, President's Correspondence, Boxes 10 (2 scrapbooks), 15, and 31. The majority of these materials can presently be utilized by researchers, with the exception of the roll of oversized photographs of plantations and railroads which will not be available until appropriate conservation treatment is complete.

Use and Access to Collection

This collection is open to the public and must be used in the Special Collections reading room. Researchers must register and agree to copyright and privacy laws before using this collection.

Special handling is required for folded oversized blueprints throughout collection. Many files and documents are brittle, fragile, and dirty. There are also many folded oversize blueprints throughout the boxes, in addition to those removed and housed in map cases.

The majority of the records are dated over 75 years ago and are therefore not restricted for content or personal information that is present. Please contact the Collection Curator for more information.
