Photographs and Negatives, 1956-1968 and undated
This series is comprised of 88 black and white and 3 color photographs, 241 proof prints, and 151 negatives documenting Daniel B. Brewster's political career. The majority of the photographs document Brewster's official travel to Bainsbridge, Maryland; Vietnam; the Canal Zone; and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The proof strips and negatives document Brewster's trip to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Vietnam, and the Phillipines for the U.S. Senate. Most of the remaining photographs document Brewster's politcal career from the 1950s through the 1960s, several of these also show Theodore McKeldin, Harry Truman, Lyndon Johnson, John F. Kennedy, and Robert Kennedy. Threre are also several personal photographs. In addition, 32 black and white photographic negatives of Brewster's time in office were recevied from the Senate Historical Office. These include images of Brewster with Lyndon Johnson, Harry Truman and Senator Michael Mansfield.
