Private Life, 1909-1970
This series contains materials documenting Byrd's personal life. While dates range from 1909 to 1970, the bulk originated between 1930 and 1935 and between 1950 and 1969. The materials in the three subseries primarily include correspondence, manuscripts, proofs of books, speeches, and pamphlets related to Byrd's personal affairs, involvement in fraternal organizations, and international interests. There is additional material on Byrd's personal life among the clippings of Series 4.
