Fraternal Organizations, 1930-1970
Throughout his life, Byrd belonged to numerous fraternal organizations, such as the Masons, the Loyal Order of the Moose, and the Shriners. This subseries consists of correspondence, pamphlets, and reports relating to these organizations. Major topics include membership matters, meetings, conventions, and fund-raising. While the material covers the period between 1930 and 1970, the bulk dates from 1930 to 1935 and 1968 to 1969.
