Issues, 1910-1972

This series contains correspondence, memoranda, reports, press releases, printed material, and newspaper clippings constituting the subject files of the League of Women Voters of Maryland. The bulk of the material spans the years 1921 to1968.

These files reflect the major concerns of the League including women's suffrage, elections and voting, taxes, state and local government, legislation, labor, child welfare, public welfare, and health and hygiene. Particularly valuable are the voters service files, providing information on the League's voter education programs, and the scrapbooks, documenting the League's early history - especially in the suffrage movement - in newspaper clippings.
