Administrative, 1886-1995

This series includes the Constitution and By-laws for the years 1920, 1924, 1926 and 1935, as well the Charter of 1931. General correspondence between members of the organization throughout the 1920s comprises a large portion of this series. Dr. Hulbert Young of the Walker-Gordon Laboratory in Baltimore, and Dr. E. M. Pickens, professor at the University of Maryland, were both secretaries of the organization in the 1920s, and the correspondence consists primarily of solicitations of speakers for meetings, planning for conferences and events, and financial matters. Minutes of the Board of Directors, Board of Trustees, Executive Committee, and General Membership comprise the bulk of this series and date from 1921 through 1995. Interspersed within the minutes are some meeting agendas, official correspondence, and programs.
