Subjects, 1922-1939
This series includes correspondence, petitions, reports, printed material, and newspaper clippings organized around key subjects during Ritchie's years as governor. Among the documented areas of interest are the construction of a Chesapeake Bay Bridge, state and county taxes, farms and farming, construction bond issues, Washington County School Board, and the 1939 California State retirement life payments act ("Ham and Eggs"). Also included are newspaper clippings covering Ritchie's death and funeral.
