Senate Staff-Joseph D. Tydings, 1956-1970

This series documents Jo-Ann Orlinsky's duties as a member of Senator Tydings' staff, especially her efforts to keep him apprised of political developments in Maryland. Included are briefing and working files, copies of Tydings' speeches published in the Congressional Record, correspondence, newsletters, press releases, schedules, statements, memoranda, and reports on incoming mail. The folder heading "Robos" was used by Orlinsky and is retained here. It refers to standardized response letters to constituent requests which are produced in quantity on robot machines.
