This series includes materials relating to Tydings' appointment to the post and his accomplishments while in office. Among these materials is some correspondence relating to the Johnson-Boykin case which post-dates Tydings' term, 1961 to 1963. There is also some material that pre-dates his term. The arrangement is alphabetical by topic.
