Administrative and Professional Materials, 1947-1967

This series contains correspondence, project notes, and grant materials. Included is correspondence between Shorb and Merck Pharmaceutical Company, Difco Laboratories, the Office of Naval Research, and the Pfizer Project; she conducted research for each of these companies and agencies. Correspondence concerning the Merck & Co., Inc. v. Olin Mathieson Chemical Corp. lawsuit, in which Shorb provided testimony, is also included. In addition there is correspondence from scientists at the American Cancer Society and other colleagues. Finally, the series includes notes on her various projects and information regarding state, federal, and National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant reports.
