Personal Materials, 1948-1961
This series, which consists of correspondence, newspaper clippings, and journals, provides information on Shorb's personal life. A number of letters in the series are from her graduate assistant and friend, Unabelle Boggs Blackwood; Ms. Blackwood frequently inquired about Shorb's family, including her children and grandchildren. There is also correspondence from as far away as Greece and Germany requesting information on the use of B12 to treat pernicious anemia; copies of Shorb's responses, referring their inquiries to the drug manufacturer, are also included.
Newspaper clippings about Shorb are included in the series as well as additional information about her graduate assistants and letters of recommendation Dr. Shorb wrote for them.
Materials in this series are arranged alphabetically.
