Woodsboro and Double Pipe Creek Turnpike Company, 1890 and undated

 Series 2

On November 3, 1890, the six directors of the Turnpike Company, J. W. Weant, F. C. Renner, Robert Barrick, Adam D. Birely, Levi F. Miller, and Jacob Dorcus, contracted with John A. Barrick and John Stover to construct a one and a half mile turnpike from the first quarter mile stake on the second mile from Woodsboro, Maryland, and ending at the third quarter mile stake on the third mile. The series consists of two items: an article of agreement and an undated agenda for the directors. The article of agreement lays out the specifics for building the turnpike, including the materials to be used and the financial arrangement between the directors and the employees. Arrangement is chronological with undated material at the end.
