Subject Files, 1971-1980
This series consists of files pertaining to a variety of topics of interest to women, including abortion, education, athletics and Title IX, the Equal Rights Amendment, and feminist press and theater. Included in the files are pamphlets, newspaper and magazine clippings, mailings, essays, and ephemera documenting the women's movement in the 1970s. The majority of the material is from local sources in the Washington, D. C., suburban area. Also included are files relating to activities of specific organizations, such as the Washington Women's Art Center and the Women's Equity Action League, both of whose newsletters are located in Series I.
Arrangement is alphabetical by folder heading.
