Unpublished Papers, 1950-2003

 Series 4

Series IV consists of Dr. Brush's unpublished papers, dating from his high school term papers until shortly before his retirement. Many of the unpublished papers from 1960 to1965 are reports from the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory, most notably "History of the Lens-Ising model" (1964) which led to Dr. Brush's interest in becoming a historian of science. Also includes IFDAM-IPST reports, information on Dr. Brush's efforts to rescind the American Association of University Professors' censure of the University of Maryland, and newspaper clippings on the Creation-Evolution controversy. Dr. Brush's 1951 Westinghouse Talent Search project charts and a 1988 NEH Summer Seminar for College Teachers brochure have been placed in the Oversize Materials folder, and are identified by separation sheets.

Arrangement is chronological by year unpublished papers were authored.
