Music, 1920-1946
The bulk of this series consists of published sheet music for which Arthur J. Kiser composed the lyrics. Also included is a manuscript for song lyrics composed by Kiser: "Jean, Frances or Daisy" (December 9, 1946). Like his poetry, Arthur J. Kiser's lyrics are mainly political in nature, and include such topics as World War II, Prohibition, Herbert Hoover, and Hawaii. Arthur J. Kiser's musical collaborators included Bob Carleton and Edouard Hesselberg (1870-1935), a Latvian pianist and composer. Arrangement is chronological.
