Photographs, 1900 and 1998

 Series 5

Series 5 consists of photographs, a majority of which were taken by members of Local 132. One box of the series contains photographs that were separated from the 1998 Pins and Certificates folder in Series 1, Subseries 3. The box contains 58 images of the local union members who received their pins and certificates that year. Pins and certificates are given to recognize how many years each individual has been a member of the union. The box also includes the corresponding negatives of these photographs. Additionally, this series consists of a framed photograph of the delegates to the 1900 United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Convention in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The persons who can be identified who may be of interest in the photograph include Frank Duffy and several African American delegates to the convention. This photograph came from Local 110, one of the local unions that was consolidated in 1905 to form Local 132.
