Slides, 1954-1993

The slides document cast-iron structures in New York City, in the United States, and abroad. Complementing the proportional balance of materials in other series, this subjects consist mostly of sites in New York City, but sites across the United States and in Europe are also represented. Many of these slides were created by Gayle, though others were sent to her by other individuals and organizations. The slides are arranged into two subseries because of their physical housing. Although the bulk of the visual materials in this collection reside in this series, there are slides in other series of the collection. Arrangement is geographical whenever possible.
