Letter from Edward Brewer in Milwaukee describing an eyewitness account of a train wreck. Addressed to Moses Davis of Cambridge, Massachussetts. Describes a rail journey from Baltimore to Frederick, where the engine "Martin Van Buren," after travelling 30 miles at the speed of 3 1/2 miles per hour, ran off the track and into a rock. No one was injured in the accident., 04/03/1837
