Audiovisual Materials, 1952-1997
Film and audio recordings created or collected by the UBCJA. Some films were produced by the union and publicize union activities, while others were produced by outside groups and focus on technical aspects of carpentry. Notable non-UBCJA members who appear in the films include Lyndon B. Johnson, George Meany, John F. Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, and Jimmy Carter. Audio records document speeches by UBCJA and other union officials, including George Meany, as well as local union meetings, the sound for UBCJA-produced films and some music related to labor unions.
