National Library Week, 1959-1995
National Library Week is an annual event sponsored by the American Library Association to promote library use and support throughout the nation. In addition to nationally sponsored events, the ALA encourages state associations to host local activities in concurrence with the national observance. The Maryland Library Association has participated in the event since 1959 and offers continued support of the ALA and libraries in this particular area. The MLA files concerning National Library Week include correspondence, reports, publications, and forms. Arrangement is chronological.
